We care for our bedroom windows commence all winter (in Illinois) and this blanket has modest us toasty. The blanket is made with two layers of material, the top layer is a cotton weave, and the bottom layer a fuzzy acrylic with the heating elements in between. There’s no annoying clicking when the thermostat goes on and off, and the light on the control is so pale that I can have the control at that time to my pillow lacking it disturbing me. A fantastic blanket at a fantastic price!

I’ve bought 2 Beam thrilling blankets in 2 years. They have both stopped working. Buyer Beware, do your research initially on google ‘why my thrilling blanket stopped working’. You will get so loads of entries(I was shocked!) and 95% are in this area Beam brand thrilling blankets not working. They(Beam) MUST know in this area this conundrum, as loads of patrons have returned to get it repaired, only to have them stop working again! If you don’t want to get ripped-off, do your research (I wished I had), there are surpass rated brands out there.

Initially of all, this is a really excellent blanket. It is very soft, not very stiff at all, the wires are watery and flexible, the dual reins are fantastic, and it heats the bed up nicely.
But my largest conundrum with this blanket is that the fibers on the adjoin can be pulled out waaaay too easily. Those fibers make up a small decorative pattern on the adjoin, but they are loose enough that your pet’s claws, your fingernails, and flush just everyday wear can pull them out and make a crowd of small loops. At that time the adjoin be converted into not very decorative at all. I own two cats that sleep on the bed with me, and they have made the adjoin of my blanket preview very shabby. I’ve since been keeping the blanket under my eiderdown all the time and try to care for the adjoin of the blanket enclosed whenever I can.
I really like this blanket and way it warms up my bed, but I sure fancy I may maybe care for it looking surpass.

This blanket was nice for one winter, at that time didn’t work at all when I plugged it in this time. Beam requires you to send it to them, mines a Ruler to the tune of $40 shipping so they can Renovate it and send it in trade. HMMM $40.00 plus the $100.00 I paid for it….will it “break again” and will I have to send it in trade AGAIN? I have three years left on the warranty!!! How loads of times will I buy this blanket in 5 years? I’m not sure whether I WANT to FIX IT, and they won’t just exchange it, nor will the store pocket it in trade.
Don’t waste your cash on a Beam Product is my in rank.
ADDENDUM
There certainly seems to be a conundrum with Beam blankets.
I bought mine (another develop) a time ago, it worked that winter, and when I pulled it out this time it was just plain Dead.
Considering I spent a hundred dollars on it, and I really loved the blanket continue winter, I was truly disappointed by this event.
I emailed consumer service three times and received three a waste of time answers.
They wanted me to e-mail my Ruler Sized, Dead blanket to Mississippi to be “Repaired”; shipping it at MY deprivation….can you say $45.00?
Now…I had a 50/50 opportunity of this blanket going in to be flat (I am only in time two of my five time warranty)only to have it happen again with it was “flat”. If I had to send it again to be “flat” to the tune of $45.00, I’d have near bought a new one. I really did not want this blanket in trade, it is obviously defective in some way, or just terrible by design…of which, I do not know. Somehow this just didn’t make sense to me and the likelihood felt very against my favor.
I truly had tried to get this blanket to work six times, as did my husband. I orginally bought it for him as we have sub-zip ride out and it’s nice when he gets off at 6 a.m. to crawl into a heated bed with he’s half frozen. So you see, this was vital to me to find a resolution to this conundrum. I flush looked at additional brands of blankets, but there are not loads of out there, it would seem Beam has a cornered this promote reasonably well, and what is out there, is three times as pricey. I…happen to reckon $100 for a blanket is exhorbitant, but with excitement…well worth it. IF it facility.
So I existing to spend ANOTHER $100 on a $200.00 Beam blanket for a NEW one. And they said they didn’t do Exchanges…apparently the extra $100 wasn’t worth lovely Me. Odd, I thought. So this time I emailed consumer service and I questioned to have my thought forwarded to a Superintendent as the Consumer Service responses were improper at best. I knowledgeable them that I had posted EIGHT terrible reviews on the internet and if they did not fancy to accomodate me in some way, that I had all week to write Terrible Reviews on their blankets. I also told them I was contacting Jarden, the mother company in this area this. One lovely Consumer Service female had the gall to caution me their harvest were brilliant…really? Because MINE ISN’T and at that time I worn-out all the reviews starting Amazon and sent them to her to prove that..no, they are NOT brilliant! Here’s your proof on 75 reviews! With that email, I looked up the President of Jarden and got his buzz digit, I was prepared to call him on Monday morning.
Judge me…in this age, reviews are vital!! If you buy something…leave a review! Flush if you aren’t export starting Amazon, leave a review here! It makes a difference!!
Now for the excellent part…

While I was shopping on Saturday, a very nice female starting Beam called me to say she was going to help me with my conundrum.
I was shopping with Thanksgiving and was standing in Best Buy at the time, and she existing to call me Tuesday.
Now is Tuesday, and she did as promised, she called.
She had all my in rank and emails, she questioned for some numbers off of my blanket, and promised to send me shipping tags to e-mail my blanket in trade to them at their deprivation!! Yay, permanently someone caring!!
AND she ordered me a new blanket!!!!
I may maybe NOT BE MORE PLEASED at this top! And I’m praying my new blanket will not have any tribulations.
But very pleased that Beam addressed my conundrum and made me pleased! Now THAT is Consumer Service!!!
So…IF you have a conundrum with YOUR blanket, contact Beam. Don’t just eat the cash you spent, your cash is as excellent as mine is, and your product SHOULD WORK. I believe that Beam did what was right by their product and as patrons we have a right to be pleased with our buys. A blanket with a five time warranty SHOULD WORK FOR FIVE YEARS right? If it doesn’t, they call for to distinction our hold with a product that will work.
Anyway…Pleased with SUNBEAM!!!

Used a few times continue winter and it worked fantastic. Tried to use it again this winter and no dice. It gets a TINY bit hot with a few hours, but nothing like it used to. I googles “beam thrilling blanket tribulations” and found a whole bunch of additional people with the same conundrum. What a ripoff!
